For details and pointers see: http://www.ohiobirds.org/records/documentation.php Snow Goose: East of Huron River, off Rt. 6, at River Rd., in a large field next to the Huron Wastewater Treatment Plant, one blue and one white Snow Geese were reported on 5 Nov among 400 Canada Geese (Gabe Leidy and Emil Bacik). Greater White-fronted Goose: A single bird with the Canadas on the northeast side of the impoundment on 7 Nov (Chris Pierce). Brant: 2 birds flying along the swimming beach at Geneva State Park on 6 Nov (Gabe Leidy). Cackling Goose: Two birds in the same flock as the two Snow Geese above, on 5 Nov (Gabe Leidy and Emil Bacik). Seven birds seen at St. Maryıs Fish Hatchery on 7 Nov (Russell Owl). BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING DUCK: The bird was reported through 7 Nov. Details from previous RBA: This bird, found by Linda Houshower several weeks ago, is at Buckeye Lake in Bluffton, Allen County. Further directions from Sherrie Duris: ³The bird is being seen along the west end of the quarry/lake. From I75 get off at exit 142 and head west on 103. Turn right at Main street and go north to the parking lot of the quarry on left. Follow trail left between creek and quarry to west end." Red-throated Loon: Two birds in a large loon flight reported at Huron Pier on 6 Nov (Gabe Leidy, Emil Bacik). One bird was at the lake at Buck Creek State Park on 7 Nov (Doug Overacker). Red-necked Grebe: The bird at Guilford Lake, Columbiana County, was present through 6 Nov. Robert Lane reports: ³Easy viewing with a scope is achieved from the Mark's Landing Restaurant parking lot off of State Route 172.² Cattle Egret: One bird seen on 6 Nov at St. Maryıs Fish Hatchery (Russell Owl). Yellow-crowned Night-Heron: An odd record on 2 Nov of a bird at Lake Metroparks' Chagrin River Park, ³in some trees just south of the observation deck along the Riverwood Loop Trail which runs along the west boundary of the park² (John Pogacnik). White-rumped Sandpiper: 2 immature birds seen at Conneaut Harbor mudflats on 6 Nov (Gabe Leidy). Another pair of late birds were seen by Rob Thorn at Ellis Pond at Pickerington Ponds on 7 Nov. Bairdıs Sandpiper: A late bird at Lorain impoundment on 2 Nov (Doreen Linzell). Another bird was seen at the beach at Buck Creek State Park on 7 Nov (Doug Overacker). Western Sandpiper: Two birds were reported on the Ottawa NWR monthly census on 7 Nov (Doug Vogus). Red Phalarope: One bird present at Deer Creek Reservoir on 1 Nov (Bob Royse). Little Gull: 2 birds, an adult and juvenile, flew by Conneaut Harbor on 6 Nov (Gabe Leidy). Franklinıs Gull: A 1st cycle bird flew by John Pogacnikıs house on 7 Nov. Iceland Gull: A surprising record of an early inland bird amongst the other gulls at Deer Creek Reservoir on 1 Nov (Bob Royse). EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE: One bird has been hanging around the house and feeders of 1389 County Road 140, Sugarcreek (Bobolink Rare Bird Alert). Another bird found by Russell Owl on 7 Nov in Celina. CAVE SWALLOW: One bird remained just west of the Jackalope Restaurant in the boat harbor at Lorain Harbor on 2 Nov (Doreen Linzell). A bird seen by James Yoder on 31 Oct in the Bobolink RBA area, which is extra significant since it is an inland location. Yellow Warbler: An exceptionally late record found by Gabe Leidy on 6 Nov. The female-type bird was seen by a brushy hillside near the observation deck. Black-throated Blue Warbler: Dave Slager found a late female on 4 Nov in his yard. Le Conteıs Sparrow: One bird seen at Mallard Club Marsh on 7 Nov (Brian Zwiebel). Bobolink: A late bird at Mallard Club Marsh on 7 Nov (Brian Zwiebel).
