The Brant was NOT present at the location described below when I was there from 4:30pm to 4:45pm. I'm not sure if it left or if it just went to roost at another location. The Brant was in a winter wheat field south of CR 24 and west of CR 107, about 100 feet off the road (south of Haviland). The Cattle Egret was in the front yard of a home on CR 168, east of CR 111 (northeast of the town of Paulding). > In addition, we had a Common Loon, a couple of Horned Grebes, Ruddy Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, Bufflehead, and a Lesser Scaup at the Paulding Reservoir, and a flock of 55 Sandhill Cranes flew overhead as well. Kestrels were fairly common, we probably had about a dozen in the time we spent in Paulding County (about an hour or so). > > Also, the Black-bellied Whistling Duck at Bluffton is still present. If you go to see it, be sure to check Riley Creek next to Buckeye Lake, the bird was near the road bridge in the creek today. > > Andy Sewell > Columbus, Ohio > > ______________________________________________________________________ > > Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society. > Our thanks to Miami University for hosting this mailing list. > Additional discussions can be found in our forums, at www.ohiobirds.org/forum/. > > You can join or leave the list, or change your options, at: > http://listserv.muohio.edu/scripts/wa.exe?LIST=OHIO-BIRDS > Send questions or comments about the list to: [log in to unmask] > ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
