I saw maybe a handful of juncos about a month ago, but not again. However, in the past two days we have seen a dozen or so. They have decided to hang around our feeder and under our deck in Hilliard. They are nice to see as opposed to the huge flocks of birds that have been swooping through as of late. -----Original Message----- From: Ohio birds [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Russowl Sent: Monday, December 13, 2010 8:26 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [Ohio-birds] Short Eared Owl mania Big Island Wildlife Area Decided to drive to Big Island and the slow ride there was worth it. We got there about 45 minutes later than we wanted but still was a great time. Short Eared Owls everywhere we went. I stopped counting at 25 and I also counted 7 harriers . There were more of them but I was trying to photograph the owls.
