I was part of the intrepid group (nitwits??) that covered the northern part of Mogadore reservoir this morning, despite single-digit temps at dawn; some of these guys are in their 33rd year...uber-nitwits, hehe. It was 14 degrees when we started, at 8:00 AM... Good numbers of species; no open water to speak of (small opening at the spillway -- one Lesser Scaup) -- THREE Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers (got all the woodpeckers, including Pileated!) -- Brown Creeper -- a pair of FOX SPARROWS -- Yellow-rumped Warbler (one) -- enough open streams for a Great Blue, and a single B Kingfisher Can't wait to hear what other Akron-area nitwits turned up :-) Scott Hannan Wayne County ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
