We have just returned from the home of some brand new friends who have a pure white bird coming to their feeder. He comes & goes with a flock of House Finches, is the same size & shape of a House Finch & has a finch bill so we are pretty convinced that it is said House Finch. He is BEAUTIFUL. The white on his head is just slightly creamier colored than the rest of the body, he has pink legs & a pink bill but his eyes are coal black. He has no color on any feathers (except for the light ecru color of his head). I believe he can not be considered a complete albino if he does not have pink eyes but he is the whitest bird I have ever seen (and I have seen a Glaucous Gull). Would he be considered a partial albino or leucistic? I am never sure just how these terms are defined.
