Ok, normally I don't get this excited over a bird, but I have tried for three years to just see the Shrike at Killdeer Plains. Today I not only got to see it, but to photograph it as well. Then add to that a Light Morph Rough Legged Hawk, a set of Eagles setting on a branch, a pair of Kestrels perched on something other than a wire, Ten Harriers (half at Big Island WA) and over a dozen Red Tailed Hawks (again split between KPWA & BIWA)...my camera, and car window got a workout. It will be tomorrow before anything is posted to my bucket site, since I am now at work, but the previews look spectacular. They will be posted here afternoon: http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s226/sjlarue/Birds/ The Shrike was at the normal spot, parking areas Y&Z near the road. I did not see one back at lot I where it was previously reported. Wish I could get up to the north to see the Snowy Hawk...;-D. The pics from earlier look sweet. Have a great day! Good birding, and God Bless! Steve J. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
