Tim & I headed to Wayne Co to look for the yellow-headed blackbird.  Dipped, as
the Brits would say, on the blackbird.  (Sorry about that, I have just finished
reading The Biggest Twitch; it rubs off.)  But we did see 2 Am. Pipits, right
along the road at the intersection of Welty Rd. & Lautenschlager Rd., northeast
of the town of Applecreek.  Also had 16 Red-tailed Hawks, 2 Rough-leggeds, 3
Cooper's & 2 Kestrels.  Maybe the Wilds raptor field trip should have been held
in Wayne Co. instead!

On the way home, we came across 31 Wild Turkeys on Georgetown Rd, about 1 mile
west of RT 44, (between Louisville & E. Canton.)  They were feeding in a field
just west of Beck Rd. at an oil tank battery.  We were able to park next to the
tanks so that they could not see us & so watch them quite closely for about 10
min.  They were still there when we left.  What a way to end a very nice birding
outing.
