I found a first-winter Northern Shrike at Carlisle Reservation (Lorain Co.)
Saturday afternoon.  It was scanning from a drowned tree in the wetlands where
you enter the Meadow Loop trail near the Visitors Center.

I also lucked into a pileated woodpecker along the entrance drive to the
Wellington Upground Reservoir.  There's a bit of distant open water with Canada
geese, mallards, a couple of black ducks, and a ruddy.
