My birding partner, Lori, and I braved the mud, falling temperatures and
high winds today at the Darby Bends portion of Prairie Oaks in Western
Franklin County. We were richly rewarded for our efforts. There was a single
female Long-tailed duck on the kids fishing pond.

Killdeer
Mourning dove
Song sparrow
Mallard
Canada goose
Northern shoveler
Pied billed grebe
Lesser scaup
Red-breasted merganser
Bufflehead
Redhead
