Hello all,

A crisp and cool morning for today's walk in Glen Helen.  We found most of
the common residents on our walk, which included the Inman Trail, bird
blind, and Baldwin Pond.  Here's what we found:

Canada goose: 11
Mallard: 2
Turkey vulture: 3
Mourning dove: 5
American robin: 15
Blue Jay: 2
American crow: 5
Downy woodpecker: 7
Hairy woodpecker: 1
Red-bellied woodpecker: 3
Piliated woodpecker: 1
Eastern phoebe: 2
Carolina chickadee: 13
Tufted titmouse: 8
White-breasted nuthatch: 3
Winter wren: 1
Carolina wren: 1
Golden-crowned kinglet: 6 (most of these were seen in one group near the
Birch Creek Cascades)
Eurasian starling: 5
Red-winged blackbird: 1
American goldfinch: 3
Northern cardinal: 4
Dark-eyed junco: 5
White-throated sparrow: 9
