There were four species of gull present including EARED (1), RED-NECKED (1), horned (7), and pied-billed (2). The eared grebe was in the large basin just east of the boat ramp. The red-necked was at the mouth of the channel leading into the Gordon Park harbor area. It headed out the channel before I could get a picture. The eared grebe also moved in that direction as I was leaving. A couple people fishing along the south end of the basin scared everything in that direction. There were a lot of gulls in the area, but nothing of note. I have attached a shot of the eared grebe at: http://www.rarebird.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5528&PID=16565#16565 John Pogacnik 4765 Lockwood Road Perry, OH 44081 (440) 259-2751 ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
