A lazy afternoon of birding south from Columbus turned up 63+ species --
here are a few highlights.

The Darby Creek wetlands were devoid of shorebirds (perhaps due to the brief
hail storm just before I arrived?) save 1 Greater Yellowlegs.

Deer Creek lake held 3 Forster's Terns, 21 Bonaparte's Gulls, 2 Chimney
Swifts and a few hundred swallows (Tree, Barn and NRW) plus a few dozen
Purple Martins.

White-crowned, Chipping, Field, and Vesper sparrows were found east of Deer
Creek WA on Dick Rd. and Mouser Rd.

A quick stop at Greenlawn Cemetery turned up a few good birds, including 2
Pine Warblers foraging with a flock of Chipping and Field Sparrows and a
flyover Broad-winged Hawk.

Good birding,
