I couldn't place it either, and after I found out what it was, it turns out to be a perfect example of why I hate drawings...well maybe dislike strongly...:-D :-D It depends on the artist I guess. It took a little googling (but since it is raining outside, and I have nothing to do but watch the purple finches that are still coming to my feeder...), and thanks to a readers comment on the Huffington Post, I found it...a Great Crested Flycatcher...now have you ever seen a GCF with a blue throat? Here is the plate, which I found at the New York Public Library, that Google used for their rendition: http://digitalgallery.nypl.org/nypldigital/dgkeysearchdetail.cfm?trg=1&strucID=115759&imageID=108314&word=Audubon%2C%20John%20James&s=3¬word=&d=&c=&f=4&k=0&lWord=&lField=&sScope=&sLevel=&sLabel=&total=659&num=40&imgs=20&pNum=&pos=57 Audubon's colors are almost spot on, a little blue, but I think that it is a reflection of the watercolor paints of the time and not the artist. I think that Google with photoshop or other type program, went a little too blue with their saturation slider. :-D Have a great Day!
