Pretty quiet day in the valley. A dozen DC Cormorants on the first pond,
starting from SR 302.  A couple pair of Wood Ducks, one pair of
Mallards, several Great Blue Herons, 2 Kingfishers, and 2 individual ducks of
undetermined parentage were the only things battling with the Canadian Geese for
territory.  Best bird of the day was a lone Great Egret tucked away inside
Fossil's Frog Farm. (North of Smithville-Western Rd.)  It was good just to be
out in warmth for the first time in months!

FOS Phoebes and Field Sparrows heard singing today here in Smithville.  :)
Welcome back!

Happy Birding!
