Late this PM Bob Powell and I checked Cowan Lake to see what if anything the recent storms had brought in. Except for a large number of Coots and a few ducks
and Great Blue Heron the lake was bare. As we were leaving Bob spotted a Caspian Tern flying over the lake and when we got to the spillway there were four. We did not see them land but there were many places where they may have decided to.

Another item of interest is the Caesar Creek Osprey nest which can be viewed from the end of Mound Road. Last Saturday there was an Osprey on the nest. This is an excellent place to view such a nest.
