This morning in Mahoning Co. -- at my feeders in Poland Twp. were white-throated sparrow, dark-eyed juncos (still), rose-breasted grosbeak, and purple finch; great horned owlet still doing well at Lowellville nest, only it's head remains downy now; at flooded fields along Rte. 46 south of Calla Rd. in Green Twp. were blue-winged teals, green-winged teals, and greater yellowlegs.  In the afternoon I went up to the Orwell marsh in Ashtabula Co. and walked most of the property.  Highlights were: 4 Am. wigeon, 4 blue-winged teal, 17 n. shovelers, 9 green-winged teal, pied-billed grebe, Am. kestrel, 3 greater yellowlegs, spotted sandpiper, 4 pectoral sandpipers, 6 Wilson's snipes, pair of red-headed woodpeckers, yellow-bellied sapsucker, e. phoebe, and 3 yellow-rumped warblers.  I also saw a Canada goose incubating eggs(it flushed off the nest briefly) and 1 very young gosling.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
