I got very close looks at at least 10 yellow throated warblers and 10-15 yellow rumped warblers. I saw 2 yellow warblers on the other side of the canal. > The yellow throated warblers were not at all bothered by people and were very cooperative for pictures! > > > Yesterday I stopped at Brecksville reservation. After being very satisfied by seeing a yellow throated warbler, some kinglets and a few gnat catchers, I heard some cackling toward the bridge, and soon saw a pair of Peregrine falcons fly over my head and into a tree very close to the trail. It was one of the tall Sycamores right on the water near the dam. They didn't move for 45 minutes- I was hoping for a few action shots in-flight, but was very happy just to watch them from so close! > > Sent from my iPod > > On Apr 21, 2011, at 7:30 PM, Bob and Elaine McNulty <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > >> Blacklick Metro Park (Columbus) >> Prairie warbler >> blue winged warbler >> yellow rumped warbler >> yellow throated warbler (heard) >> ovenbird (heard) >> white eyed vireo (2) >> hermit thrush >> yellow bellied sapsucker >> swamp sparrow >> brown thrasher >> brown creeper >> winter wren >> house wren >> pileated woodpecker >> >> Flowers >> blue cohosh >> wood anemone >> large flowered trillium >> wild ginger >> wild blue phlox >> Greek valerian >> >> Blendon woods (afternoon) >> palm warbler >> Pine warblers >> ovenbird >> yellow rumped warblers >> swamp sparrow >> >> Butterflies >> Red Admiral >> >> Flower >> Bellwort >> >> Bob and Elaine McNulty >> >> ______________________________________________________________________ >> >> Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society. >> Our thanks to Miami University for hosting this mailing list. >> Additional discussions can be found in our forums, at www.ohiobirds.org/forum/. >> >> You can join or leave the list, or change your options, at: >> http://listserv.muohio.edu/scripts/wa.exe?LIST=OHIO-BIRDS >> Send questions or comments about the list to: [log in to unmask] ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
