A quick trip to this south Columbus park this morning found rainy weather had suppressed migrant numbers somewhat, compared to the weekend. Diversity was still good, but numbers seemed low. The highlights of a 45 minute walk around the Confluence area included Flycatchers: E.WoodPewee, Acadian Flycatcher, Gr.Crested Flycatchers (2), E.Kingbird Vireos: Red-eyed, Warbling Swallows - Rough-winged, Tree, Barn Wrens,Gnatcatchers - House Wrens (4-5), Gnatcatchers (8+) Ruby-crowned Kinglet (3) Thrushes - Wood (5-6), Swainson's (2) Mimids - Catbirds (4), Brown Thrasher, Mockingbird Warblers - Yellow, Parula, Nashville (2), Tennessee (2), Blue-winged, Magnolia, Chesnut-sided, Black-thr.Green, Yellow-throated, Blackburnian, Yellow-rumped (10+), Pine, Palm, Black&White, N.Waterthrush, Hooded, CommonYellowthroat, Yellow-br.Chat Scarlet Tanager Indigo Buntings (2-3) Rose-br.Grosbeaks (2) Sparrows - E.Towhee (3), Chipping (6+), Field (2-3), Song (5+), White-throated (40+) Baltimore Oriole (2) ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
