Update: The Piping Plover that was found this past weekend at Conneaut was color banded. I was contacted by people that saw the posted photo along, noted the band combination, and were able to get an idea where this bird was banded. I sent them additional photos with better views of the bands and they were able identify the him further. He was hatched in 2010 at Platte Point in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park in Michigan. If anyone has color-marked Piping Plover sightings, they can be sent to [log in to unmask] Note band color and where the bands are on the legs. For this bird I also noted a green blob on the lower color band. That was what helped identify it to year. Thanks again to Mark and Bob for initially finding the bird.
