I guess the Kirtland's woke up today, with no rain and a bit of warmth, and said "Hey! This isn't Michigan!" and took off for the North. At any rate I didn't see him, darn it! I did go find the OSU Wetlands, which were gorgeous, and came upon a small flock of White Crowned Sparrows fighting over the choicest dandelion tops, a pair of Baltimore Orioles, and dozens of mockingbirds, song sparrows, red-winged blackbirds, robins, and house finches. Also a downy woodpecker and a red-bellied woodpecker. Currently looking for folks to sponsor my team, Two in a Bush, for the Columbus Audubon Birdathon--e-mail me if you'd like to support our efforts! We usually track down about 60 species, so your financial obligation wouldn't be too terrible! ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
