Spent a very pleasant evening birding with one of my Amish block-owners in northern Coshocton Co.

He reported that he had observed 24 species of warblers TODAY. I had driven up especially for the whip-poor-wills, which put on a great show, but we also saw earlier:

cerulean warbler
yellow-throated warbler
American redstart
ovenbird
Kentucky warbler
hooded warbler
yellow warbler
Louisiana waterthrush

Despite lightning in the distance, and sometimes even a distant rumble of thunder, it was a good evening for birding.

Some of the habitat in northern Coshocton Co. reminds me a lot of Adams Co.
