Saturday June 25th is the Annual Bobolinks at Byers Woods.near Ashland, Ohio. A short (15 minute) drive from the intersection of Rts I-71 and St Rt 30 near Mansfield, this festival offer excellent views of a breeding bobolink population and much more. Greg Miller will be on hand to help people see bobolinks in our spotting scopes. There will be several bird walks offered, as well as a butterfly/ dragonfly walk led by Guy Denny. There will be additional vendors and displays, but more importantly the Friends of Ashland County Park District will be providing food. Help us conserve bobolinks and grassland bird habitat by attending this eco-tourism event. We want to continue to provide hahbitat for grassland birds, therefore we must show the Ashland County Commissioners that people care about this park. For full details and a map go to the www.gmasohio.org website. This program is supported by many of Ohio's Audubon Societies, OOS, and BSBO. Gather a group of your friends and stop by on your way to or from bird atlasing this Saturday. Good Birding!
