Some highlights from OBBA2 atlasing yesterday...in southern Ashtabula Co. near Rock Creek, New Lyme, Colebrook, and Wayne: wild turkey, green heron, Cooper's hawk, Am. kestrels, red-headed woodpecker, 7 flycatcher species including alder, purple martins, e. bluebirds, veery, blue-winged warbler, cerulean warbler, Am. redstarts, hooded warbler, savannah sparrows, bobolinks, and e. meadowlark. House wrens were not numerous, and found in only 4 of the 6 blocks I visited. At Shenango WA in Trumbull Co. were green heron, imm. bald eagle, osprey, prothonotary warbler, and swamp sparrows.
