On Tuesday 6/15/11 at 8 AM I observed what I believe was a Eurasian Collared-Dove at the Prairie Oaks Metro Park on the border of Franklin and Madison counties. This single individual was seen in a tree on a narrow strip of land between one of the lakes and Big Darby Creek. It gave a call. I've posted pictures I took of it at the following web address: http://seasonsflow.wordpress.com/2011/06/17/an-unusual-bird-spotted/ I have only recently started birding again after a long break, so I am not sure how common or uncommon this bird is in Ohio at the present time. This was my first time seeing one.
