In the Kidron vicinity there are many Red-headed woodpeckers--the most I've ever seen.  We even saw four at the same time in our yard. Often they're seen on the ground.  Unfortunately, I've also found two road kill woodpeckers between Kidron to our place three miles to the north.

Are Red-headed woodpeckers being seen more frequently in other areas as well?

In addition, had a very late Blackburnian warbler singing high in the oak this morning.
