Greetings! For the Kenton area birdwatchers on the list, County Rd 190 has several pockets of Dickcissels. I only went from the Marion county line to County Road 219 and my family and I saw or heard three different groups. If there are not more on out at Lawrence Woods' grass lands area, I would be surprised. There are a lot of grassy areas all the way down 190 to support them. Also seen were: 2 pair of Red Tailed Hawks 2 Indigo buntings many Song Sparrows and RWBB Purple Martins at the Amish houses Mocking bird Eastern Kingbird Eastern Meadowlarks There were other birds scattered throughout, but we were on a mission to see the dickcissels and head back home . Have a great 4th! My thanks to those who have served to make and keep us free.
