A census of Dickcissels this morning turned up the following sightings in Western Wyandot Co. and Eastern Hardin Co. Dickcissels have been found here for the past 7 years. Wyandot Co. TH 101- between 12-15 territorial males. CH 215- 25 territorial males. TH 82& TH 63- 2 territorial males CH 215 & CH 64- 3 territorial males CH 82- 1 territorial male TH 58- 1 territorial male Hardin Co. Jackson twp. rd. 50- 20 territorial males Atlasing sightings at the Hardin Co. wetlands included: 2 colonies of Marsh wrens 13 Common Moorhens, 7 being sub-adults 1 vocal Virginia Rail 5 Least Bitterns, 2 adults and three immatures 12 Ruddy Ducks, 7 males and 5 females 1 Least and 3 Solitary Sandpipers Rick Counts Wyandot Co. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
