Thought you readers might find this interesting:  I just got back from  a
trip to Ontario -- stayed on a remote island near Manitoulin Island.. Anyway,
 for a couple days there was a Merlin hanging around our part of the
island.  I watched it swoop out of the trees over the water a  couple times then
saw it turn on a dime and nail a dragonfly.  Pretty  cool to watch.  No
unusual birds on trip -- all pretty typical for that  area:  Sandhill Cranes,
Ospreys,  Ruby Throats, Golden Crowned  Kinglets, warblers (Blackthroated
Blue, Black & White, etc.), Loons,  Ravens.
