This morning by Griggs dam in Columbus I was drinking my coffee when a fisherman flushed a large bird in the tree right above my car. I opened my sun roof and behold what looked like a juvenile yellow crowned night heron was hanging by it's beak! I grabbed my iPhone to get a picture but it flew to a nearby tree where I had a pretty good look at it. It was kind of wobbly so I made the assumption that it was a juvenile. But my wife doesn't believe me so I'm looking for help. Ever seen a bird hang by it's beak?? ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
