Janes Fox and birded in various places in northern Ohio today. At the Turtle Creek estuary on Rte 2 in Ottawa County we saw three Cattle Egrets on the dike along the estuary looking east across the estuary. A Dickcissel was still singing nearby on Bodi Road at Lemon Road.

We checked the Bellevue Ponds in southern Sandusky County near the Seneca County line on Riddle Road. As previously detailed by Becky Cullen and Ken Kaufman, there is shorebird habitat on both sides of the railroad tracks with hundreds of shorebirds present. The previously reported Wilson's Phalarope was still present in the wet area south of the railroad tracks. We had four Stilt Sandpipers there among the 175 or so Lesser Yellowlegs. Only one Short-billed Dowitcher.
