The weather looked good for an early flight of waterbirds. There were a few birds moving, best of which were two jaegers and a laughing gull. One of the jaegers was in close enough and spent a few minutes in the area to allow identification as a parasitic jaeger. The other bird was too far out to get an ID. The laughing gull passed by amongst a group of ring-billed gulls. There were few ring-billed and herring gulls moving this morning. A little after I quit watching the ring-billed gulls began moving overhead. I'd imagine several hundred passed to the east through the afternoon. Nothing else of note was seen in the afternoon.
