Today after work I headed up to O'Shaughnessy Reservoir to do a little bit of advance scouting for the birding by kayak program tomorrow morning. All of my observations were from land today but tomorrow (weather permitting) they will be by kayak. I got up there around 5:30 and birded until 6:45. Even though I had a pretty nice list going, I think we should have more luck in the morning. double crested cormorant great egret great blue heron green heron osprey Cooper's hawk turkey vulture ring-billed gull barred owl (heard only) belted kingfisher Eastern wood pewee Eastern phoebe American crows (attracted by the barred owl call) Eastern bluebird cedar waxwings (dozens) Al La Sala Columbus, OH ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
