My wife and I spent an hour or so last Monday evening at Upper Arlington high school (Central Ohio) watching perhaps 100-200 or so chimney swifts gather and swirl overhead, condensing their formation until around 8:00 the group dive took place. Fun to watch.

I also had not seen Chimney Swifts for several weeks. Yesterday (9/28/11) at 8:10 A.M, I saw about 25 flying and twittering over Canfield Township. They were flying in a close formation.
