I just visited the site (1:10pm) and was able to snap some photos of Paul Hurtado's find. Indeed it looks like a nice adult Ross's Goose with no evidence of hybridization with Snow Goose. By that I mean the bird is small, short-necked, and small-headed; it has a small, short bill with a straight, vertical bill base, and no sign of dark tomial/grin patch. The link below includes eBird checklist, photo, and link to a map of the location. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S9221064 Dave Slager Columbus, Ohio On Tue, Nov 29, 2011 at 12:50, Paul Hurtado <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Just now saw what appears to be a single adult Ross's among a few hundred > Canadas in the fields off of North Star Rd just north of Kinnear Rd.
