We had at least 14 pine siskins at this morning's Feeder Watch at Dawes, possibly more. (They moved around continually, making an accurate count difficult. 14 is conservative.) I don't remember seeing this many this early in the winter since I moved to Licking Co. 13 years ago. Some years I don't see any!

We had 17 species this morning:

mourning dove - 2
red-bellied woodpecker - 1
downy woodpecker - 1
blue jay - 4
Carolina chickadee - 3
tufted titmouse - 4
white-breasted nuthatch - 2
eastern towhee - 1
song sparrow - 1
white-throated sparrow - 3
white-crowned sparrow - 4
dark-eyed junco - 6
northern cardinal - 3
house finch - 18
pine siskin - 14 (possibly more! These guys are hyper.)
American goldfinch - 8
house sparrow - 5

Also seen, but not at the feeders:
American crow
American robin
