Shane Egleston and I saw an American Golden Plover at the beach area at Caesar Creek. The beach is under water and the bird was foraging in the wet grass near the water.

The bird had a distinct contrasting eyeline and an ear patch, and showed a smudgy barring on the breast and belly. The bill was thin compared to a Black-bellied Plover.
