After seeing the gull and the owl yesterday (Saturday) I decided to go
back for more.

There were 2 Snowy Owls in the railway yard this afternoon around 4pm.
One was way in the back (towards the lake) on a pile of rocks. The
other was closer, perched on a hopper car. Also 5 Common Mergansers
and 1 Ruddy Duck in the channel, and 2 American Robins by the bridge.

Some other birders reported seeing the Black-tailed Gull on the roof
of the nearest warehouse building on the west side of Lakeshore Park.
I missed the gull today, but in the water at the park there were 7
Common Mergansers, 3 Buffleheads, 2 American Coots, and I heard one
Red-winged Blackbird who thought it was spring.
