Good monring OH birders, I had a flock of 15 male American Robins in my neighborhood at dawn this morning, which I think is significant since I have no fruit trees or running water in the vicinity, and haven't seen them in th area so far this winter. That being said, this is my first winter in Ohio, so it may not be migratory movement that brought them in, but since we have Great Blue Herons back already and reports of Blackbirds and Woodcock back in town, perhaps the Robins are back as well? I think it is odd they showed up before Eastern Bluebirds, as I am used to Bluebirds being the early thrushes back in spring (in Minnesota, where I have been for the past 20 years).
