My son (Brett) and I braved the weather for the BSBO Young Birders Winter Blues Blowout this morning. We got to see Tundra Swan (tons), Northern Harriers, Bald Eagles, Snow Buntings, and all the other expected species. But the highlight of the day was the *White-winged crossbills* at Oak Hill Cemetery between Killdeer and Upper Sandusky. There was one lone male and 6-8 females. They were very active and vocal even in the biting wind. We found out later the event was cancelled but we had a good day regardless. No owls, but we didn't try to hard. Nothing behind Guardian and we didn't go to the Upper Reservoir.
