Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of Rte 161 and I 270. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is a list of birds seen at Blendon Woods the last few days Thoreau Lake American Black Duck-136 Mallard-24 Wood Duck-2 pair Redhead-male Pied-billed Grebe American widgeon-2 males, female Great Blue Heron-5 Green-winged Teal- 2 females American Tree Sparrow-2 Lake Trail Cooper's Hawk Pileated Woodpecker-nesting cavity-in an American Beech tree near the pipeline cut Hairy Woodpecker Barred Owl Goldenrod Trail Hickory Ridge Trail Ripple Rock Trail Great Horned Owl-Disc Golf course Woodcocks Chery Ridge picnic area Goldenrod Trail Red-tailed Hawk-A pair was seen circling together near the pinic areas Nature Center Cooper's Hawk Dark-eyed Juncos-4 Turkey Vultures Carolina Wren Wild Turkeys-They can be seen all over the park, mainly around the bird feeders.
