I stopped at Lorain for a little today. There were a lot of red-breasted
mergansers along the river and in the harbor, with a few lesser scaup mixed
in. I also saw a couple greater scaup and common mergansers and a few
coots.

There were a thousand or so gulls throughout the harbor. Most were on the
docks east of the sewage plant. I did find a couple lesser black-backed
gulls in that area also. I also had an adult Thayer's gull out near the
lighthouse and a flyby adult Iceland gull along the river.
