We stopped at the fishing area east of the power plant and used the spotting scope to see one bird fly away and the other walk into the next box. Very cool! We only had a few minutes to spare and after 10 minutes left without seeing the flying bird return. I will definitely be stopping hear over the next few weeks to see if I can get some digiscope pictures. For those not familiar with this location it is about 15 miles east of Cleveland. Take I-90/Rt 2 from Cleveland and where they split (Euclid) follow Rt 2 East and exit at Rt. 91. Go north (left) until it ends at Rt 283 (Lakeshore Blvd). Turn right and follow, going under RR bridge to traffic light. Turn left and follow this road (go uphill when road splits) until it ends at Lake Erie. Walk through the parking lot/fishing area and look at the largest diameter smoke stack (the one on the right). About half way up, just below a flashing light is an artificial nesting box. You can watch with 8 power binoculars but a spotting scope at 20X makes for better views.
