Sorry for the delay in posting but I had a problem with my password. Last Sunday my wife and I went up to Metzger Marsh area in Ottawa County to check out some of the waterfowl and just at dusk we were getting ready to turn around and head out when my wife spotted something sitting on top of a tree. I looked over with my binoculars and saw what looked like a showy owl. We got the scope back out and watched it in a perfect pose for 5 or 6 minutes and it was only about 200 feet away. Definitely a Snowy. We had a much better view then we were able to get of one of the wood county snowy owls back in December. I know it is a couple days late but we saw it from the last pull off on the right as you were heading towards the end. It was in a tree top off to the left. Cellphone picture taken through my scope attached. I hope. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
