Clark County Audubon had a walk at Buck Creek State Park this morning. At
the north end of the lake we found 5 Greater White-fronted Geese among the
islands. We also saw the Ross's Goose that I reported last week. There were
just a few ducks on the lake this morning, very low for this time of year.
Ducks we saw included Green-winged Teal, Northern Shovelers, Gadwalls, a
pair of Blue-winged Teal, Lesser Scaup, and a Bufflehead. Double-crested
Cormorants have also returned. We did not find any loons or grebes.

New arrivals included Tree Swallows and a singing Fox Sparrow. About a half
mile east of Grant Road on Yeazell Road we saw several American Pipits. This
is on the east side of the state park.
