* *The not so rare subspecies of the House wren, known locally as the
House *Trailer *Wren returned to my yard in Perry County. Perhaps more
notably, the Northern Parula and the Blue Gray Gnatcatcher also returned.
They helped raise the total yard species seen yesterday to a respectable
41. I immediately put up four more gourd bird houses. ( I already have a
TRAILER bird house, modeled after the trailer I lived in for 15 years as a
kid in Pennsylvania. The wrens always utilize it.)

When the wrens nest in the yard, they will be joining Carolina wrens,
Phoebes, Robins, Doves, Bluebirds, Chickadees, Song Sparrow, and Cardinals
as confirmed nesters in the six acre yard. There are probably others I
haven't found yet, and still others yet to come. A regular nursery.

On another note, the two Great horned owl babies are doing just fine,
and are really getting big. I'm thinking they might fledge in as soon as
three weeks.
