Today - with strong winds out of the south and temperatures up to 76 degrees, I observed what I would call an early migration of Red Admiral butterflies. From circa 10 a.m.till 1:30 in Mansfield to 2:30 to 7 p.m. in Wooster, especially during my trip from the Mansfield to Wooster, I saw 4-6 dozen butterflies either in the protection of buildings early and late or moving generally from south to north along Route 30 between 1:30 and 2:30. Did anyone else notice this movement? Roger Troutman ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
