Spent a few days in northern Athens County birding the Burr Oak area of
Wayne National Forrest.

Ovenbirds were numerous. Seemingly outnumbering the eastern towhees.
Had very good looks of a male hooded warbler as well.

The Tom Jenkins Dam had:

canada geese
red-tailed hawk
1 common loon
1 horned grebe
1 pied billed grebe
1 spotted sandpiper
tree swallows
eastern bluebirds
purple martins
chimney swifts
red-winged blackbird
brown-headed cowbird
american goldfinch

Other side of waterway, think may have been in Morgan County, had a muscovy
duck

Forest and forest edge also held:

broad-winged hawk
red-shouldered hawk
turkey vulture
mourning dove
pileated woodpecker
yellow-bellied sapsucker
northern flicker
red-bellied woodpecker
white-breasted nuthatch
american crow
blue jay
eastern bluebird
tufted titmouse
carolina chickadee
eastern phoebe
american robin
northern cardinal
field sparrow
chipping sparrow
song sparrow
