Greetings: This morning, while unsuccessfully seeking the Connecticut Warbler reported yesterday, I had a Golden-winged Warbler singing on the Lake trail, right at the gas line cut. I didn't have much time to spend, so my species count was pretty low otherwise. Other birds of interest I observed (all on Lake Trail unless otherwise noted): -male Summer Tanager in the nature center parking lot, calling on an exposed branch -singing Eastern Wood-Peewee -Warbling Vireo -American Redstart -Hooded Warblers (at least 4 singing) -Red-eyed Vireo -Yellow Warbler (at edge of woods near Thoreau Pond) -Common Yellowthroat (ditto) And lots of turkeys. Good birding, Andy Sewell Columbus, Ohio ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
