There was a good migrant fallout in Whetstone Park in Columbus overnight, and I found 12 species of warbler in an hour before work this morning. Highlight was a BREWSTER'S WARBLER, singing a golden-winged warbler song. It was seen near the beginning of the ravine trail, sometimes moving to the top of the ravine on the north side (where the Park of Roses is located). Also, yesterday I found a Kentucky Warbler at Whetstone, the first I had ever seen there. Other highlights from this morning (May 2): Least Flycatcher Great Crested Flycatcher Yellow-throated Vireo Blue-headed Vireo Warbling Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Ruby-crowned Kinglet Veery Swainson's Thrush Wood Thrush Ovenbird Northern Waterthrush Blue-winged Warbler Brewster's Warbler Black-and-white Warbler Northern Parula Magnolia Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Yellow-rumped Warbler Yellow-throated Warbler Black-throated Green Warbler Canada Warbler Scarlet Tanager Baltimore Oriole Jeff Grabmeier Columbus ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
