This individual flushed from the marsh's northwest portion, heading to a spot somewhere in the southeast corner - a first for the impound...for me, at least! Six species of shorebirds present and two Common Terns. On Sunday, an Eastern Bluebird and roosting Sharp-shinned Hawk were unusual. I was happy to see the raptor, as we have often puzzled while hawk-watching at Conneaut just where the these sharpies & Broad-wings spend the night locally. A Black-crowned Night-Heron squawking in the blackness this morning became a new addition to the property list here in Sheffield Lake. The Red Admiral numbers today in NE Ohio seemed to trump even those those back in mid-April...pretty unfathomable. - Gabe ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
